Today’s “take, make and dispose” economy is reaching its physical limits and need to be replaced by a more sustainable model: the circular economy. In the circular economy, the aim is to keep the value and utility of products, materials and components as high as possible, for as long as possible, and increase the utilization of the resources already present in the economy. The winners of tomorrow will be the companies that are able to create more value out of fewer resources. This demands innovation, a long-term perspective, willingness to collaborate and new business models.
